Black Desert Online may be known as a massive, action-packed MMORPG, but I have discovered that it can also be a surprisingly cozy experience! Available on PC through Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox, this open-world game gives you an enormous fantasy world to explore at your own pace.
This is easily one of my favorite games, and it is definitely a 5/5 experience for me! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
One of my favorite things about Black Desert Online is its incredible character-creation system. The customization options are so detailed that I could happily spend hours designing new characters—and honestly, I love creating new characters just as much as I love playing them! From their appearance and outfits to their class and combat style, every character can feel completely unique. 💜
Each class plays differently, so experimenting can help you discover which style feels the most comfortable and enjoyable for you. When choosing your class, remember to use weapons and gear that are compatible with that particular class.
⚔️ Beginning your adventure
Completing the main story quests is one of the best ways to begin your journey. These quests help you learn how the game works, introduce you to important features, guide you through new areas, and provide plenty of opportunities to level your character.
The world can feel a little overwhelming at first because there is so much to discover, but you do not need to learn everything immediately. I love that I can slow down, explore, and enjoy the game in my own way instead of feeling pressured to rush toward the endgame.
🌸 How I make Black Desert feel cozy
Although combat and PvP are available, you can create a much calmer experience by avoiding PvP whenever possible and focusing on the game’s life skills. These peaceful activities allow you to build a relaxing routine inside this enormous fantasy world.

The graphics are one of my absolute favorite parts of Black Desert Online. The landscapes, character details, cities, lighting, clothing, and weather create so many beautiful photo opportunities. I love dressing up my characters, exploring new locations, and stopping constantly to capture screenshots!
Sometimes I accomplish important quests, and sometimes I spend my entire play session creating a new character or holding an unofficial fantasy photoshoot—and both feel equally worthwhile. 💕😂
Creating characters and taking pictures are genuinely two of my favorite things to do in the game. With so many customization choices and beautiful locations, I always have another character idea or photo concept waiting to be created.

Black Desert Online can be as adventurous or as peaceful as you want it to be. You can battle enemies and complete quests, or you can focus on farming, horses, decorating, crafting, exploring, and photography.
I love the beautiful graphics, detailed character customization, enormous open world, and freedom to experience everything at my own pace. It has become one of my absolute favorite games, and I continue finding new reasons to return to its beautiful world.
If you enjoy cozy games but also want a huge fantasy world filled with activities and possibilities, this may be the perfect MMORPG for you to explore.
