A new little door to wander through
My next Rest Mode side quest is a visit to a new bookstore. A little change of scenery, books to browse, and a chance to follow my curiosity at a gentler pace. Honestly, that sounds like a very good kind of adventure.
Not every quest needs a long list of tasks or a dramatic finish. Sometimes I want to step away from the project pile and make room for something I’m simply looking forward to.
This is the beginning of that plan, not a review of a place I have already visited. I’ll share the bookstore and the details once the adventure has taken shape.
Rest Mode can have a bookish chapter
In my journal, Rest Mode means giving myself permission to choose a softer pace. For this particular quest, I’m looking forward to an outing that revolves around something I love: books.
I don’t want to turn the visit into another performance goal. There is no requirement to find the perfect book, make a huge purchase, or come home with enough content for an entire week. Browsing can be enough.
I want to leave room to see what catches my attention. Maybe I will linger over a familiar kind of story; maybe something unexpected will pull me toward a different shelf. That little possibility is part of the fun.

A gentle plan, with room to change
My milestones are simple: share the poll, choose the details of the visit, explore the bookstore, and return here with a little reflection when I’m ready. I can update the journal with photographs and discoveries afterward.
I’m leaving the visit date flexible. A plan can be something to look forward to without becoming a promise to ignore my energy. If I need to adjust the timing, the quest can wait for me.
That is one of the things I want Rest Mode to hold space for: making a plan with kindness built into it. I can be excited about an outing and still give myself permission to take it slowly.
